Claudette D. Powell
MA, BSN, RN
Claudette Powell is a registered professional nurse from the island of Jamaica, West Indies. Her
nursing career began after obtaining an Associate Degree in Nursing from New York City
Technical College. She later obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Long Island University
and a Master of Arts in Nursing Administration from New York University. Her career and
experience span many years in acute care, academia, home health care administration,
regulatory affairs, compliance and accreditation.
Claudette is affiliated with several organizations in various capacities including the Jamaica
Nurses Group of New York. She is chairperson for the Jamaica Diaspora Health Sector in North
Eastern USA. She dedicates many volunteer hours at annual medical missions in Jamaica, health
fairs and other health education sessions in New York.
